Shakira To Face Trial In Spain For Alleged Tax Evasion

A Court in Spain on September 27, 2022, ruled that Shakira (45) should face trial there for alleged tax evasion. That was reported by some media on September 28, 2022.

According to the reports, the extremely popular music megastar is alleged by Spanish prosecutors of failing to pay personal income and wealth tax between 2012 – 2014, that amounts about $15.8 million. If found guilty, the diva may end up in jail, the reports say.

At the same time, the diva’s ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique (35) has reportedly confirmed that he is now officially dating Clara Chia Marti (23).

Shakira and Gerard Pique called it quits in June 2022 after more than a decade of romance that resulted in having two children together.
