Mirra Andreeva reached the semifinals at the ongoing French Open 2026, after mercilessly defeating Sorana Cirstea in a quarterfinals match on June 2, 2026. She won the match in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3.

This is the 2nd time the 19-year old tennis superstar has reached the semifinals at a Grand Slam tournament. She reached her 1st Grand Slam semifinals at the French Open 2024, at the age of only 17. The milestone followed her debut in Grand Slam tournaments at the Australian Open 2024 some months earlier.
So far at the French Open 2026, Mirra Andreeva has won all rounds at the tournament, in straight sets except the 2nd round in which she dropped one set. This extraordinary performance at the tournament by the teenage tennis superstar definitely indicates that she may be unstoppable on this occasion and may now be bracing for her 1st Grand Slam trophy.
