Michelle Yeoh Wins First Oscar

Michelle Yeoh (60) was honored with an Oscar for the first time at the Oscars 2023 alias 95th Academy Awards ceremony that was held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, on March 12, 2023 (local time).

The former Miss World Malaysia won the Oscar for Best Actress in Everything Everywhere All At Once movie. She becomes that first Malaysian woman to be honored by the USA’s Academy Awards corporation. She also becomes the first Asian woman to win an Oscar for Best Actress.

The Oscars 2023 ceremony was broadcasted live in the US by ABC, and hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
