Grace Wales Bonner (35) has been appointed Hermès' new Creative Director Of Menswear. The appointment was announced by Hermès on October 21, 2025. She becomes the first woman of African descent to lead a global luxury fashion brand.
Grace Wales Bonner is a globally renowned fashion designer. She has been accoladed with several world-class awards for her contribution to the fashion industry, that include, among others, the following.
British Menswear Designer of the Year (2024)
Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for Services to Fashion (2022)
CFDA International Men's Designer of the Year Award (2021)
British Fashion Awards (2015)
Grace Wales Bonner owns her own fashion brand, Wales Bonner, that she founded in 2014. Reportedly, she will continue running her brand concurrently with her new job at Hermès.
She is expected to deliver her debut Ready-To-Wear (RTW) collection at Hermès in January 2027 during Paris Fashion Week for Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 (SS27).
