Donatella Versace Calls It A Day As Versace's Chief Creative Officer

After 28 years as chief creative officer for Versace, Donatella Versace (69) has called it a day from the global brand's top position. That was reported by some media on March 14, 2025.

Donatella Versace took the position of chief creative officer at Versace in 1997. Her decision to step down from the position is said to have been announced by Capri Holdings Group that is the current owner of Versace, on March 13, 2025. According to the announcement, she will be replaced by Miu Miu's former design and image director Dario Vitale starting April 1, 2025.
However, Donatella Versace is not leaving Versace yet. Reportedly, she will become Versace's chief brand ambassador as from April 1, 2025.
