Coco Exits Wimbledon After Historic Run

It took a currently 7th world ranked Grand Slam winner Simona Halep to stop the incredible teenager Cori Gauff alias Coco at Wimbledon, in a 4th round match that took place on July 8, 2019.

Previous attempts by five time Wimbledon champion Venus Williams and tennis veterans Magdalena Rybarikova and Polona Hercog, to stop Coco proved futile. Venus Williams and Magdalena Rybarikova were defeated mercilessly by straight sets in the first and second rounds respectively, while Polona Hercog was stunned at tie-break point in the third round.

Albeit, Coco lost by straight sets 6-3, 6-3 to Simona Halep, overall, her Wimbledon run was absolutely professional and sensational. It demonstrated convincingly she is a young professional tennis player going places, bound to continue making gigantic milestones in the game and probably becoming a Grand Slam winner in the very near future. No doubt about that!

In the meantime, Coco's outstanding run at Wimbledon has had some positive impacts on her potential entrepreneurship career, with some big time companies, including the pasta giant Barilla, said to have expressed interests in having her endorsement! A great future may therefore be unfolding for incredible Coco!
