Heidi Klum was born on June 1, 1973, in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. A dual citizen of Germany and USA, Heidi Klum is supermodel, fashion designer, actress, television producer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.
Heidi Klum attended school in her hometown of Bergisch Gladbach. When still at high school, she won a national modelling contest called Model 92 in 1992 at the age of 19, and awarded a three year modelling contract with New York City's Metropolitan Models. She accepted the contract after graduating from high school four months later that year. The Metropolitan Models' contract marked the beginning of Heidi Klum's professional modelling career. However, her breakthrough into fame and wealth could be argued to have occurred ten years later in 2002, when she became Victoria Secret Angel.
As Victoria Secret Angel, Heidi Klum hosted Victoria Secret fashion shows in 2002, 2006, 2007, and 2009. At the same time, she featured on covers of esteemed fashion and beauty magazines including: Vogue, Elle, InStyle, Marie Claire, Glamour, and Harper's Bazaar.
