Miss Michigan Stripped Of Title For Her Political Views

Miss Michigan, Kathy Xhu on July 18, 2019 was stripped of her beauty title by Miss World America organization, reported some US media on July 20, 2019.

According to the reports, the Miss World America organization in explaining why it decided to take away the title from Miss Xhu, said the content of her social media was offensive, insensitive, and inappropriate. More specifically, and according to Ms Xhu, the organization accuses her of being racist, Islamophobic, and insensitive.

20 year old Kathy Xhu who is a student at the University of Michigan, is a staunch supporter of US President Donald Trump. She was crowned Miss Michigan by the Miss World America in 2019.

Notwithstanding, one wonders where freedom of expression that so cherished and promoted in America, gone? Should beauty titles and all other crowns for that matter, be used to silence recipients? We think Miss World America has an explanation to make to the world regarding what they have done to the stunningly beautiful Kathy Xhu!
