Yingluck Shinawatra Biography

Yingluck Shinawatra alias Pou is an entrepreneur, politician, and former prime minister of Thailand. She was born on June 21, 1967 in San Kamphaeng, Thailand. She holds a bachelor's degree from Chiang Mai University (Thailand), and a master's degree from Kentucky State University (USA). Both degrees are in public administration.

In 2011 Yingluck Shinawatra became the first female prime minister of Thailand. Probably the most beautiful prime minister the world has ever seen, she also became the youngest prime minister of Thailand over 60 years. Hitherto becoming a prime minister, Yingluck Shinawatra held several senior positions in Thailand as an entrepreneur including president of a property development firm SC Asset, and managing director of a firm called Advanced Info Service.

As a prime minister, however, things did not turn out to be as expected. Just after about 2 years on the throne, in 2013, she faced systematic political sabotage from an opposition comprising a minority but wealth and powerful segment of Thailand society, that seemed not to have accepted and respected the voices of the majority ordinary population that voted and brought her to power. Finally, the country became ungovernable under the existing power structure and political circumstances, compelling a military take over in 2014.

Despite this unfortunate eventuality of her prime ministerial epoch, Yingluck Shinawatra remains highly respected worldwide, as one of the greatest leaders of Thailand. Contributing to this legacy, is the manner she handled the conflict her administration faced, with the opposition.

More specifically, Ms Shinawatra proved during the political row with the opposition, she is a true believer of democracy, and particularly dialogue as a tool for peaceful resolution of conflicts.In a nutshell, her rise to power democratically, her peaceful approach towards dealing with an unreasonable opposition from an egoistic wealthy and powerful minority, and her dignified relinquishing of power to the military, demonstrate vividly Yingluck Shinawatra is a very smart beautiful woman indeed.
