Miley Cyrus Settles Multi-Million Copyright Infringement Claim



Miley Cyrus has settled a multi-million copyright infringement claim by Jamaican dancehall megastar Michael May alias Flourgon, reported some media on January 4, 2020.


Miley Cyrus was sued by Michael May in 2018 for $300 million for copyright infringement of her 2013 song "We Can't Stop" that Michael May claimed it is very similar to his 1988 hit song "We Run Things. Things No Run We".


The agreed settlement payment amount said to have been signed by the parties on January 3, 2020 at Manhattan Federal Court, NYC, has not been disclosed.
